Russia’s last successful run at the European Championship was quite a long time ago, when they reached the quarter-finals in 1993 and 1995. Ex-footballer Natalie Barbashina is all-time top scorer for Russia. She scored 46 goals for the Russian team and played her last match for Russia in 2009.

Most caps: Svetlana Petko

Svetlana Petko is the most capped player for the Russian team and made 144 appearances. Petko played for Russia during the World Cup in 2003 but retired from the national team a year later.
