Norway qualified for WEURO 2017 after five wins and one draw. It is the eleventh time that Norway is taking part in a European Championship, which means they definitely have big tournament experience. They have won the title twice, in 1987 and 1993. They just missed out on the title last time round, after losing to Germany in the final.

All-time top scorer: Marianne Pettersen

Marianne Pettersen is the all-time top scorer for Norway and has scored 98 goals for the national team. Pettersen scored her last goal in 2013.

Most caps: Hege Riise

Hege Riise is the most capped player for Norway and has appeared in a record 188 games. Riise is also one of only three women who have won the World Cup, European Championships and an Olympic gold medal with the national team.

Coach: Martin Sjögren

Martin Sjögren, 39, leaves Swedish champions Linköping to take over from Roger Finjord, who stepped down at the end of qualifying. In charge of Linköping since 2013, Sjögren led the club to their second Damallsvenskan title. Sjögren previously coached at Öster and LdB Malmö (now Rosengård), where he won two league championships.
