Two women share the top goal-scorer record in Italy. Patrizia Panico and Elisabetta Vignotto have both scored 107 goals for the national team. Panico is 41 years-old and is still playing in Serie A from Verona. She needed 196 games to score 107 goals. Vignotto only needed 109 games to score the same amount, between 1970 and 1989.

Besides being top scorer, Panico is also the most capped player for the Italian women’s team. She has played a total of 196 game. 

Coach: Antonio Cabrini

Ex-footballer Antonio Cabrini has coached the Italian team since 2012. He spent 14 seasons at Juventus and was capped 73 times by the national team. He also won the World Cup with Italy in 1982. He hopes his experience will allow Italy to do well next year in the Netherlands.
